Born from an appreciation for authentic heat and a need to survive Manitoba winters. Our team at AR Saunas designs and builds custom outdoor retreats in our local Winnipeg shop, delivering them fully finished to your property so you can embrace the outdoors year-round.
How we got here
We started out building outdoor spaces for Winnipeg families. Somewhere along the way a customer asked for a sauna, then another one did, and the saunas took over the shop.
Growing up, saunas weren't a luxury—they were a normal part of the week. We believe a great sauna is one you actually use all year round. It needs to be hot enough, quiet enough, and close enough to the house that you'll happily step into it in the dead of January. That's why we build exclusively with thick Western Red Cedar, install premium heaters, and handle the setup ourselves so it's ready to use on night one.
When we couldn't find the perfect designs or equipment for our customers, we engineered them ourselves — leading to our signature five-sided Pentagon sauna and our custom wood-fired AR Heater.

Heater placement, bench height and ventilation are designed together for authentic heat circulation and fresh air, not just good looks.

Visit the shop and showroom
The showroom is at the front of the shop. When you visit you will see saunas in progress, cedar stock, and a heater running so you can compare wood and electric heat. Families are welcome.
